The Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles presents a special evening in conjunction with the exhibition Martín Ramírez: His Life in Pictures, Another Interpretation.
Sánchez-Kane is a Mexican clothing line founded by Bárbara Sánchez-Kane, an engineer-turned-designer whose radical motifs often address Latinx identity and Mexican-American relations. Sánchez-Kane incorporates text and image into hallucinogenic outfits that celebrate nonconformity. For ICA LA, Sánchez-Kane will present Vast Graveyard of the Missing, a conceptual fashion presentation that addresses migration, displacement, and “the movement of hearts and bodies.”
Special thanks to guesthaus residency.
