Join us for a reading and screening inspired by Claudia Rankine’s prose-poem Citizen: An American Lyric. Metropolitan High School students will respond to Rankine’s work with original poems written in collaboration with poet Vanessa Villareal and premier an animated short film produced in collaboration with artist Miwa Matreyek. Refreshments will be served.
