Madin Lopez is a hairdresser, organizer, and founder of Project Q—a mobile hair salon and mentorship program that travels around the city to provide free haircuts to LGBTQ homeless youth. Project Q uses self-care to build identity and self-esteem, and to help alleviate the struggles faced by today’s young queer generation. Lopez is joined by collaborators Dre Vargas and Anthony Daniel to talk about Project Q and its impact. The Project Q mobile hair salon will be on-site for the day.
