Brian Yanish is the artist and author of ScrapKins: Junk Re-Thunk (Macmillan 2016), The Build-It Book (Crackle Press 2011), and the forthcoming Pirate Chicken: All Hens on Deck (Sourcebooks 2019). He has worked for Jim Henson Productions; trained as a special effects mold maker; and designed software, toys, and apparel for children. As the creator of ScrapKins, Yanish has presented STEAM-based workshops to K-6 students in schools around the world and has appeared on Sesame Street.
