In April 2019, ICA LA Curator Jamillah James and a group of museum supporters traveled to Berlin, Germany to explore the city’s vast cultural, historical, and culinary landscape. Together, they visited the studios of emerging visual artists, toured exhibitions and private collections, and enjoyed new and traditional German cuisine. From Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, the group experienced the sites, sounds, and flavors of Berlin.
