Our best advice for INCOGNITO is to trust your instincts! A cherished memento from this celebrated event, these one-of-a-kind flannel shirts also feature ICA LA’s logo. Designed by artist Mark Bradford when ICA LA moved to its new home in the Arts District in 2017, the logo was inspired by merchant posters found throughout DTLA that, according to Bradford, “point to the fluidity of both economics and culture.” Hand-sourced and locally crafted in the heart of the Arts District, these flannels not only embody ICA LA’s commitment to the local, but they also help to root the former Santa Monica Museum of Art in its new downtown location, and speak to the integral role that artists—like Bradford—play in our institutional identity.
A fusion of past and future, these flannels are more than apparel—they are wearable narratives that honor ICA LA’s past, while speaking to its future as an epicenter for artistic exploration and expression.
All proceeds from these flannels go towards supporting ICA LA’s roster of dynamic exhibitions and Learning & Engagement programs and ensuring that we remain free and open to all!
