Please join Maggie Lee, Angel Dimayuga, and Ooga Booga for a fun and casual hangout to celebrate the final day of Maggie Lee’s exhibition in the ICA’s Annex Gallery as part of Ooga Booga’s Bookshelf Residency. 



Maggie will play a music mix for the event and distribute copies of Ethan Swan’s Faith in art, etc. zines, while chef Angel will be serving up some special snacks inspired by Maggie’s show!

Angel Dimayuga is a transdisciplinary culinary artist and cultural producer who creates ephemeral experiences rooted in community care. Recent projects include designing a theater dinner experience for Madrid’s Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and hosting an experimental talk show and performance at Performance Space NY. They are also a co-author of Filipinx: Heritage Recipes from the Diaspora, a cookbook blending anthropology, memoir, and design.

Maggie Lee grew up in suburban New Jersey and spent most of her childhood drawing on menus at her family’s Chinese restaurant. She learned English through Karaoke. Maggie was always drawn to the DIY scene, zines, and magazine culture. It was her way of learning about the world around her and just cool in general. She now lives and works in NYC. This year, she had a solo exhibition at Kunsthalle Zurich in Switzerland and was in a group show at the Whitney Museum and Brooklyn Museum. Currently, Lee is hiding away in her studio, working on the next film, a psychological thriller. Lee is represented by Jenny’s in New York City and Édouard Montassut, Paris.
